High-Availability Operations & Business Continuity:

  • Managed system enhancements, dev & test environments with scaled-down data, 24/7 production operations, and release management for the massive Child Support Tracking, Accounting, and Reporting System ($TARS).
  • Engineered robust roll-back and disaster recovery protocols, guaranteeing 100% completion of critical nightly batch jobs and ensuring 99% system availability for morning business operations.

Legacy Online (CICS to Web) Modernization:

  • Designed & deployed a client-server architecture to modernize legacy mainframe CICS systems, from “dumb terminal” interfaces to a web portal.
  • Consolidated multi-screen workflow transactions into single-page views, resulting in a 23% reduction in data entry errors and a significant boost in employee productivity.

Tax Offset Program Transformation:

  • Significantly improved the state’s Tax Offset program “from E-” to a “B+” by re-engineering and delivering the project on-time and in-budget.
  • The new architecture & code reduced runtime and increased run frequency resulting in securing 12% more tax offset funds for child support dependents in the state.

Architecture & SDLC Leadership:

  • Managed the end-to-end SDLC, overseeing requirements intake, code development, environment promotion (Test to Prod), and continuous integration to ensure technical deliverables aligned with legislative and business mandates.
  • Owned the application, data, and technology architectures; designed logical & physical data models and high-performance databases, legacy and web applications & user interfaces, and respective workflows & job schedules for state-wide public sector systems.
