Child Support Tracking, Accounting and Reporting System ($TARS):
Reported to the Dept. of Administrative Services & the Dept. of Human Resources and Tax Offset Program Directors to lead the maintenance, modernization and re-engineering of multiple systems. 

$TARS System Maintenance:
* Developed and maintained Cobol/CICS/DB2 programs in the financial subsystem for regular business enhancements of the Child Support Tracking, Accounting and Reporting System ($TARS).
* Managed test data environments like Dev, UAT, QA etc. and coordinated regular scaled-down test data migration from production systems.
* Managed rotating nightly production support for regular batch jobs in trying to ensure the systems available for business the next morning.
* Dealt with any occasional issues that brought down the production systems, especially during nightly batch job runs with measured roll-backs and recoveries from data back-ups.

Legacy online system modernization:
* Modernized the legacy CICS system into a web portal with VB/ASP code interacting with DB2 database in a 3-tier architecture.
* Redesigned the CICS screens on dumb mainframe terminals to online web pages for superior user experience & efficiency.

Federal Tax Offset Program re-engineering:
* Re-engineered, developed and delivered the Federal Tax Offset Program resulting in reduced runtime and increased run-frequency, which further increased tax offset funds for child support dependents.  
* Improved the whole program from an ‘E minus’ to a ‘B plus’ on the federal grading scale by collaborating closely with both the state Tax Offset Program Director and the respective Federal Office of Child Support Services.
* Modeled logical and physical data models and designed databases & queries for optimal performance of the application systems. 
* Maintained both the federal and state tax offset programs with regular business enhancements and internal process changes.
* Led the programs through the complete system development life cycle (SDLC) in collaboration with the Federal team.
